The Rev’d Mr. Voris G. Brookshire was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He was educated at Southeastern Bible College (B.A.), Birmingham Southern College, Westminster Theological Seminary (B.D./M.Div.), Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Tübingen in Germany and the Graduate School of Religion, Vanderbilt University.  He was a Presbyterian Minister for 30 years, serving churches in Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida.  He also served as Director of Program for the Florida Council of Churches and Founder/Director of the Center for Ecumenical Dialogue.  Fr. Brookshire was ordained a priest in the Anglican Catholic Church by the Right Rev’d Mark D. Haverland, Ph.D., on All Saints Day, 1998 and serves the Diocese of the South as Chairman of the Commission on Ministry.

Fr. Brookshire is the father of four children and the grandfather of six, at last count. He has great love for theology, music, and books.  His lovely wife, Florence,  is the church secretary among many, many other things, and he would be lost without her.
