The
Rev’d Mr. Voris G.
Brookshire was born and raised in
Charlotte, North
Carolina. He was educated at Southeastern
Bible College (B.A.), Birmingham Southern College, Westminster Theological
Seminary (B.D./M.Div.), Princeton Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and pursued
doctoral studies at the University of Tübingen in
Germany and the Graduate School of
Religion, Vanderbilt University. He was a Presbyterian Minister for
30 years, serving churches in Tennessee,
Ohio,
Pennsylvania and
Florida. He also served as Director of
Program for the Florida Council of Churches and Founder/Director of the
Center for Ecumenical Dialogue.
Fr. Brookshire was ordained a priest in the Anglican Catholic
Church by the Right Rev’d Mark D. Haverland, Ph.D., on All Saints Day,
1998 and serves the Diocese of the South as Chairman of the Commission on
Ministry.

Fr. Brookshire is the father of four children
and the grandfather of six, at last count. He has great love for theology,
music, and books. His
lovely wife, Florence, is the church secretary
among many, many other things, and he would be lost
without her.
