O gracious Father, we humbly beseech thee for thy holy Catholic Church; that thou wouldest be pleased to fill it with all truth, in all peace.  Where it is corrupt, purify it; where it is in error direct it; where in anything it is amiss, reform it.  Where it is right, establish it; where it is in want, provide for it; where it is divided, reunite it; for the sake of him who died and rose again, and ever liveth to make intercession for us, Jesus Christ, thy Son, our Lord.  Amen.

O God, who hast made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on the face of the whole earth, and didst send thy blessed Son to preach peace to them that are far off and to them that are nigh; Grant that all men everywhere may seek after thee and find thee.  Bring the nations into thy fold, pour out thy Spirit upon all flesh, and hasten thy kingdom; through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Our Mission at Saint John’s is:

  • To worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ in spirit and truth, and in the beauty of holiness;
  • To celebrate his sacraments, which are the means of grace for our sanctification and wholeness;
  • To study earnestly and deeply the Holy Scriptures and the historic teaching and tradition of the Church;
  • To proclaim the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in all its fullness, beauty and truth;
  • To bear witness to the love of God in Christ by word and deed in our community and beyond;
  • To pray for and seek that unity of the Church for which our Lord prayed; and
  • To seek to do all that we do with excellence as unto the Lord.
