We embrace fully the ANCIENT CATHOLIC FAITH which was revealed by God in Jesus Christ, recorded in Holy Scripture, proclaimed by Prophets and Apostles, embraced by the Doctors and Fathers of the early Church, defined in the Ancient Creeds, and defended by the Seven Ecumenical Councils of the undivided Church.

Ours is an age like many in which people would like to remake the Godhead after their own fancy, painting a deity with whom they are more comfortable, a cozy companion that requires no repentance, a sympathetic, user-friendly deity in the heavens (or maybe just by the hearth), an eternal (or perhaps evolving) androgynous figure, or Mother/Father in the sky, . . . anything but God the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, whose creatures we are, whose laws we must obey, whom we must love with all our heart, soul, mind and strength, and who, knowing that we have failed and constantly fail to do just that, sent his only Son, Jesus the Christ, God and man, to show us his love and to redeem a  people for his name, the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church, which is the Body of Christ (not just a religious association) and which would live by his Word and Sacraments, and be indwelled, sustained and led by his Holy Spirit unto life everlasting.

In an age in which many would remake the Godhead in their own image, reduce Jesus Christ to a Jewish Socrates or even a self-deluded fanatic, and dissolve the Holy Spirit into a warm, fuzzy fellow-feeling, we would hold fully and firmly to the Catholic Faith which comes to us from the Apostles.  It is our hope and our salvation.
